Show ClttlOFTDENLlVS I William Foster. Jr., a personal friend of President Lincoln, and one of the builders of the Sixth and Second avenue elevated railroads, died of old age last night in New York. He waa 83 years old. Sutro Brothers & Co.. the New York Stock exchange-house, which yesterday reported the loss of stock valued at 1175,-000 1175,-000 by one of its messengers, has recovered recov-ered the securities Intact. A man whose name Is not given picked up the package of stocks on Pine street and restored It to the brokers. |
