Show ENTRIES FOR DOG SHOW COMING IN Entries for the bench show to be held here by the Utah Kennel club will close on Wednesday. March 6, and the show will open on March 13. continuing until the 15th. Local fanciers of kl-yls are all business when It comes to arranging details' for the event, which Is certain to be one of the most entertaining and novel ever held here. Valuable prizes will be given to winners. win-ners. Among these are the following: Samuel Newhouse, silver cup, to be won three times by one owner, for best collie; col-lie; Salt Lake Turf exchange, cup for best pair of dogs of any breed; Redman Van and Storage company, cup for two best greyhounds; John J. Boes, cup for best pointer bred in Utah; Tribune, cup for best dog of any breed : A. H. Crabbe, cup, largest dog on exhibition; Henry McGee. cup for best toy dog In show; W. H. Mc-Conahay. Mc-Conahay. cup for the best cocker spaniel: Dinwoodey Furniture company, carved stein for beet fox terrier; Miss Hattle Carter, hand-painted china for best water spaniel; Mrs. H. 8. Twlnlngs, hand-painted china for best collie pup; Tom McCoy, cup for best Boston terrier; Salt Lake Knitting works, baby carriage cover for woman exhibiting largest number of dogs; II. r. Elliott, cup for greatest number of dogs exhibited; H. C. Keefe and H. R. Elliott, cup forlwst team of setters; Wasatch Wa-satch kennels, cup for best pointer and steer, to be won twice by the same exhibitor. |
