During the serving of the banquet ban-quet the college orchestra furnished excellent ex-cellent music. ' ( At the conclusion of the visit to the college the members of the party will ! be tendered a dance and roller skating party at Thatcher's hall.-' The special will leave for . Salt Lake at 10:30 O 'clock tonight. ' Nearly 200 members of the Legislature, Legisla-ture, with their .wives, sweethearts and friends, left on a special train over the' Oregon Short Line this morning for the biennial inspection of the Agricultural college at Logan, the State's great educational edu-cational institute, Assistant General Passenger Agent Daniel Spencer was at the station early to soe that every member mem-ber of ths party was properly cared for. The train was scheduled to leave at 8 o'clock, but as some of the members of the lower house have formed a habit of sleeping late, the train was delayed for a few minutes. The party that was aboard the train was a happy one, each personaintent on making the most of the trip. . , t (Special to. The Telegram.) LOGAN, March 2. The members and friends of the State Legislature are the ? nests of Logan today. The Special rain bearing the party arrived here shortly before noon. At Ogden about twenty-five residents of that city joined the party there. A dining car was attached at-tached to the special, which supplied the members of the party with refreshments of various kinds.- This car proved to be a favorite with -several of the men members mem-bers of . the party, a number of them preferring to stand np in that car rather thaji be seated in any other part of the trwin. . 3Cet by Many Citizens. Upon the arrival of the special in this city the party was met with convey- ances and driven at once to the college. ' The day was not the finest, a drizzling Tain falling and the mud being of -a depth to prevent easy walking. Upon arrival a,t tbe eollege the members or the party at once began the inspection of the institution, under the guidance of professors and students. They visited visit-ed the hennery, piggery, cowery and the, other places of interest. -A few of the men members of the party insisted on spending the time in the kitchen and ether parts of the main building. It was thought for a time that hunger was the incentive for their action,. but it developed that it was the young women students of the college they were admiring. Speaker Joseph informed some' of the members of the lower house that the visit was one of inspection and not flirtation. He, insisted in-sisted that Nephi Alnhabethical Jensen was devoting more time to looking at the young women than tx gathering information in-formation necessary in the discussion of the bill to consolidate the college with the University- ' Jensen Wins Keward. The man with tbe 1778 name respond- ed that he was only admiring the beautiful, beau-tiful, for which he" was favored with a number of sweet smiles from the girls who heard the remark. "There is one part of the institution that I am, especially es-pecially interested in," remarked one member, "but the trouble is that I have my wife with me and cannot give it the attention that I should like to." At 3 o'clock the members of the party par-ty sat down . to an elegant banquet, which was served in the large room on the second floor of the main building. Every member of the party is willing to take oath that the domestic science class is the best ever and will vote that whatever other courses may be taken from the institution this department depart-ment should be allowed to remain. The old saying: "The best way to reach a man's heart Is through his stomach," was again proven true. Members Make Addresses. Following the banquet, a number of speeches will' be made.
