Show ANOTHER SLIDE IN WYOMING Repairs to Damaged TracK Destroyed by the Second ShaKe; Railroad Trade Delayed Again. Another landslide took place at the east end of Aspen. tunnel on" the Union Paeiflo railroad in Wyoming last night, undoing the work of repairs to the slide earlier in the week, and delaying traffic for almost a week longer. Vice-President and General Manager W. H. Bancroft of the Short Line returned re-turned this morning, from the tunnel, and reported that the second slide occurred oc-curred because the great mass of earth which slid down at first, having been removed, caused another shake above. General Superintendent Buckingham is superintending the work of repairs. Great efforts will be made to repair the damage. Trains will continue to run, however, as they have all week, by way of Granger, McCammon and other points on the Short Line, causing about four hours' delay in running time. Trains on the Southern Pacific are now running over the regular route, and not by-way of Fresno, as was done for two , months because of washouts between be-tween Sacramento and San Francisco. |
