Show NEW DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHED BY KENNECOTT CORP. The establishment of a new operating department, to be known as the Mills Ore Haulage Department, to operate over the new Copperton line, and the appointment ap-pointment of N. E. McKinnon as superintendent, is announced by D. D. Moffat, vice president and general manager of the Utah Copper Division of Kennecott Copper Corporation. Since 1936 Mr. McKinnon has been affiliated with the Bingham and Garfield Railway company, and since the retirement of F. O. Haymond as general manager "ot the B & G on January 1, 194(5, has been the chief operating official of-ficial of that company. Mr. McKinnon, Mc-Kinnon, who lives in Magna, commenced his railroad service on the Louisville & Nachville Railroad in 1903 as a warehouse helper. Subsequently he was telegraph tele-graph operator, train dispatcher, and chief dispatcher of that road. In 1921 he moved west and became be-came a train dispatcher for the Union Pacific, where he served later as chief train dispatcher and as trainmaster. Operations over the new line probably can get started in the very near future, Mr. Moffat disclosed, dis-closed, saying that the Mills Ore Haulage Department would come under the supervision of General Superintendent of Mills E. W.1 Engelmann, who also directs the operations at the Magna and Arthur Ar-thur mills. |
