Show LIONS ANNOUNCE ' NEW PLAYGROUND Bingham Canyon Lions club held their regular directors business busi-ness meeting Tuesday evening, April 27 in the Utah Power & Light company office. The following fol-lowing business and projects were discussed: Final arrangements were made for the Region Two Music Festival Fes-tival band students and visitors reception at the Kennecott Copper Cop-per Corp. open pit mine at Copperfield. Cop-perfield. Delegates and alternate delegates dele-gates were selected to represent Bingham's Lions club at the state Lions convention at St. George on June 3, 4 and 5. The small lot of ground directly direct-ly across the street from Standard Stand-ard Garage has been loaned by the respective owners to the Bingham Canyon Lions club for playground purposes. Material and apparatuses have been approved ap-proved and will soon be erected. This playground and equipment has been made possible by the fine cooperation of Kennecott Copper Corp., the Bourgard estate es-tate and the City of Bingham Canyon. Next regular Lions club business and dinner meeting will be held next Tuesday. May 4 at 6 o'clock at Bingham club. Nomination of officers will be held. |
