Show BANDIT TAKES $50, OVERLOOKS $6000 A hooded bandit scooped $50 from a cash register of the Pan-hellenic Pan-hellenic Merc, in Copperfield Saturday about 9 a.m. but in his haste to leave overlooked a paper sack containing $6000. Chris Bapis, proprietor, was forced at pistol point to the rear of his store by a man described as slender and wearing a piece of silk over his head. The man searched the safe, found no money, mo-ney, then after moving the paper sack to one side took about $50 from a cash register and began tying" Mr. Bapis with rope. The robber was interrupted when a customer entered the store. Deputy Sheriffs Jack Householder and R. J. Contratto said no adequate description of, the man could be obtained. r i |
