Show FUNERAL SET 1 FOR MUSICIAN Funeral mi-tIcm (or Frederick Beesley, tt, of 1M Q street,' one ; i of the outstanding musical figures of Utah, will be held Thursday at 12:15 p. m. In the Twenty-seventh Twenty-seventh L. D. 8. ward chapel, I F o u rth avenue . and P street. Mr. Beesley died In a Salt Lake hospital hospi-tal late Monday evening of pneumonia pneu-monia and Infirmities In-firmities Incident to age. Mr. Beesley, who celebrated his birthday an-Mr. an-Mr. Beesley nlversary Saturday, Satur-day, had been III two weeks. He was secretary treasurer of the Beesley Music company for 35 years. Born In Salt Lake City, January Jan-uary 13, 1864, a son of Ebenexer and Sarah Hancock Beesley, he received his education at a private Salt Lake school and later at the University of Deseret. Mr, Beesley esrly became Interested Inter-ested In music. He played In the old Salt Lake theater orchestra for aeveral years and taught piano and voice. He waa prominent In affairs of the L. D. S. church. Shortly after his marriags to Elisabeth Ellen Solomon In the Logan L. D. S. temple In 1885, he left for the Hawaiian Ha-waiian mission, where he served for three and one-half years. Two boys were born to Mr. and Mrs. Beesley while they were on the mission. In addition to his widow, ha Is survived by three sons. Frederic 1 A. and William N. Beesley, Salt Lake City, and Elmer E. Beesley, Los Angeles; three daughters, Mrs. Leroy Parry and Mrs. Ethel Tims, - Las Angeles, and Mrs. E. Jsy Kearns, Salt Lake City; 22 grandchildren grand-children and five great-grandchildren. All of his sons and daughters daugh-ters were at the bedside at the time of his desth. Mr. Beesley Is also survived by five brothers and two sisters, Adei-bert Adei-bert Beesley, Alvln A Wllford A. and Clarissa A. Beesley, all of Salt Lake City; Frank Beesley, Eureka; Mrs. Amy B. Lee, Tlnino, Wash, and Lorenso B. Beesley, Los Angeles. An-geles. The Deseret mortusry, 36 East Seventh South street. Is In charge. |
