Mr. Amundson observes his blrthdsy anniversary today. Born in Salt Lake City, he received re-ceived his public school education and also attended the University of Utah. He served in the 362nd Infantry, lst division. U. S. army, during the World war. Following his return to Salt Lake City, he began his contracting business, in which he has been engaged ever since. He resides at 1533 Emerson Emer-son avenue. "My hobby Is mining," he said. "I'm Interested In the various phases of mining and It certainly Is an absorbing hobby." He also enjoys traveling, fishing fish-ing and hunting. He will spend the evening with Mrs. Amundson and their family of five children this evening. They are Carol, 19; Marjorie, 15: Royal, 17; Dale, 16, and Sally, 5. Mr. Amundson Is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wsrs and the American Legion.
