After the machine was driven onto the Val Verda cut-off and at a point due east of the Cudahy Packing company plant in North Salt Lake, the girl in the front seat opened the right door of the car and leaped out head first, striking her hesd on the roadside. The car was halted and. when the victim was found badly hurt, both women were driven to the home of the Injured girl and the men drove off without revealing their names. The victim became worse and a physician was called. Ths leap victim was taken to the hospital about 1:30 a. m. The other Injured girl and her sister, 21 years old. reportedly went for a ride about 4 p. m. Thursday. After several hours of riding around, the sister said, the young men, with whom both girls were slightly acquainted, ac-quainted, started to drive to a canyon. can-yon.
