Show S. L. AIR CRASH PROBEWAITED A state aeronautics commission hearing In the crash of a "borrowed" "bor-rowed" homemade plane, piloted by Bob Kelly. 22. was to be held at the capitol late Friday. The hearing was slated for the morning, but Karl King, attorney for Kelly, asked the delay because he had to appear in federal court. Kelly, part owner of the plane, took it from the garage of Henry J. Thalman. the other owner, and took off from a pasture. Twenty minutes later he crashed on railroad tracks in the southwest corner of the city. The hearing was called because Kelly had no pilot's license and the plane had been ordered grounded. |
