Show Furniture Fraud Suspect Held At Denver for Return to S. L. While return of a man allegedly connected with fraudulent furniture fur-niture deals in Salt Lake City was awaited from Denver Monday, city police were confronted with only minor thefts and burglaries reported over the weekend. Deputy Sheriff Amos Hensen was in Denver Monday with papers for the return here of Louis Grosse. alias Don Carlos, allegedly connected connect-ed with furniture swindles her touting to-uting 12300. Arrested in Denver last week while selling rugs, Grosse allegedly "bought" furniture in Salt Lake City from 13 firms, had the furniture furni-ture delivered to a downtown address ad-dress after signing retaining contracts con-tracts and then auctioned the furniture fur-niture or sold it elsewhere. Grosse is also wanted for using a fictitious name in registering an automobile in Utah. Burglars who allegedly broke a glass door to gain entrance to the Punch Bowl, 888 Ninth East street, Saturday night took eight cartons of cigareta and several boxes of razor blades, police were told. |
