LANDSLIDE MENACEGROWS ' LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (INS) -Rumbling ever closer toward the homes ana business establishments on Riverside drive, Elysian park's gargantuan "moving mountain' shook threateningly today, sending mail boulders richocheting downward, down-ward, terrifying residents and In the opinion uf geologists, presaging major landslide. Many of the half-score structures along the jlrlve, directly below the apparently topplingoO-Toot cliff, wera boarded up while city crews and poiics stood 24-hour- vigils ready for any emergency Many new fissures In the vertical verti-cal mass of 1.500.000 tons of rocks, earth and trees were reported, while geologists and engineers reported the great schism atop the cliff had opened up 7- of an inch In five hours until It Is now mors than loot across. Since this fissure, which Is 500 feet long, was discovered November Novem-ber 2- the earth mass below it has moved Inexorably sldewlse and downward at the rat of an inch suid a calf a day.
