ALL ARE ONE YEAR OLDER TODAY THAN THEY WERE FRIDAY ' Joseph Edholm, left; Francis Newman, Ivan Mathis, George Kitchen . . all postal employes. Postal Employes Postpone Joint Natal Celebration There was no holiday Saturday for four employes of the post-office post-office department, even if it wat their birthday. They worked as hard, or harder, than usual. The four, Joseph Edholm, Ivan Mathis, Francis Newman and George Kitchen, finding themselves swamped with work during the Christmas rush, plan to get together for a little celebration when their work is not so pressing. Mr. Kitchen and Mr. Mathis claim to be "almost twin," having been born on the same day in the same hour. The men count th year they have served with the postal department depart-ment not as year but a th number num-ber of Christmas rush seasons they have worked. Mr. Edholm, mailing room foreman, fore-man, has had 30 Christmases with the department; Mr. Newman, general gen-eral delivery clerk, IT Christmases: Mr. Kitchen, a parcel post clerk, 20 years, and Mr. Mathis, clerk at the Pioneer station, Is the "baby" of the group, having served through 15 Christmas seasons. |
