Show 120 DAYS GIVEN IN LIQUOR CASE Three Others Must Pay $350 Fines Oscar Davis. 43. of T43H South State street, Ssturday was sentenced to 120 days In ths county Jail for maintaining a nuisance by reason of alleged illegal sales of whisky at his place of business. Fines aggregating $390 were imposed im-posed In three similar eases by District Dis-trict Judge Herbert M. Schiller, who also sentenced Dsvis. Those fined and the amounts each must pay or go to Jail ars: Mary Davis, wife of Oscar, 1100 or 80 days; Pat Barrutia, 37. 1150 or 75 days, snd Mary Barrutia, 34, 1100 or 50 days.- Mary Davis was accused jointly with Oscar Davis. Both were convicted con-victed by a jury. Pat Barrutia and his wife, Mary, pleaded guilty to a complaint alleging alleg-ing they maintained a nuisance October Oc-tober 28 at 180 St West First South street. The Devises were granted stays of execution until January 3, conditioned con-ditioned on posting of a 1500 bond for Davis and a 1300 bond for his wife. Ths Barrutias arranged to pay their fines. |
