Show College Women To-PrescnrTccr-On December 29 The Salt Lake City branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its Christmas tea on Wednesdey. December 29, at the home of Mra. Dana C Blayney, 1134 Firat avenue, with the following aa-aiating aa-aiating hostesses: Mrs. Lloyd N. Davia, chairman; Misa Minnie Barlow, Miaa Ines Dearlng. Misa Winifred Dyer, Miss Elisabeth Moore, Mra. Kenneth A. Tulley, Mrs. Clair M. Senlaa. Miaa Ruth M. Campbell. Mra. M. J. Branson. Miss Ruth Rees, Miss Leona Holbrook and Miaa Myrtle Scbwan. decorated the rooms The aerving table for the buffet supper waa lighted with red tapers and centered with holly and red berries. In charge were Miss Audrey Rongstad, Miss Annie Gardiner and Miss Sylvia Cate. Sorority members will hold Initiation Ini-tiation ceremonies Sunday at 10:30 p. m. at the Newhouse hotel, followed fol-lowed by a formal banquet Miaa June Herrmann will be initiated. Miaa Marjorie Wallace, Miaa Edna Herron. Misa Audrey Rongstad and Miss Helen Wood will be in charge of arrangements. BETA THETA PI Beta Theta Pi fraternity mem- bers will hold their Christmss formal for-mal Saturday evening at the Alta club. Co-chairmen wilt Include Robert Hunt and James Wade who will be assisted by Jemea Berry. Dr. and Mra. Ray Maraell and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Q. Cannon will act as patrons and patronesses. PHI MU Active members of the Phi Mu sorority will be entertained by the pledgea Saturday evening at a roller sksting party which will be followed fol-lowed by a slumber party. Miss Helen Blake is chairman, assisted by Miss Helen Folater, Miss Elsa Larson and Miaa Veda Duete. Sorority members announce the recent pledging of Miaa Dorothy Hood and Miss Avanelle Woolley. SIGMA NU An Informal dancing party will be held Saturday 'evening by Sigma Nu members at tha chapter house on South Woleott atreet. Chairman Is Dale Taylor who will be aaaisted by John Nolan. Jack Foraey and Glen Davia. Fraternity membera were hosts Saturday afternoon at a clever Christmas party at the chapter house for orphaned children. DELTA PHI The Memory house at Memorial grove will be the acene of a Christmas Christ-mas formal Saturday evening to be given by membera of the Delta Phi fraternity. Lea Jaeobaen Is In charge, assisted as-sisted by John Cleave and Dale Curtis. Patron and patroneas will be Mr. and Mrs 8. M. Jacobsen and invited in-vited guests will include Dr. and Mra. John A Widtsoe and Mr. and Mra. J. Wiley Seaaiona. CHI DELTA PHI The executive council of Chi Delta Phi announces that Miss Ruth Jones of Salt Lake City haa been appointed to the position of national treasurer of the organization. CHI OMEGA MOTHER Membera of the Chi Omega sorority so-rority snd their mothers were the honored guests at a tea given Friday afternoon by the council of the Mothers' club. Centering the serving table were large poinsettias placed en a reflector. re-flector. Red Princess tapers in crystal holders and a Venetian lace cloth completed the decorative theme.
