Show U. S. NOT TO ACT ON ENVOY SPEECH WASHINGTON. July 8 (INS) No action is contemplated by the stats department on Ambassador Robert W. Bingham's London address ad-dress in which he blamed British and American rearmament on European Euro-pean "despots" it was learned today. The state department continued to ignore bitter attacks on Bingham in the German official press. A spokesman pointed out that Ambassador Am-bassador Bingham had made no direct reference to Germany or any specific country in his speech and that as ambassador hs is free to express his own views, which are not necessarily those of the American Amer-ican government. |
