Show Weber Quintet Battles Ecker'sforA.A.U.Title OGDEN, March 2 Seeking its third straight crown, Weber junior college of Ogden battle Ecker Studio, Salt Lake division A. A. U. titlisU, In the final round of the Intermountain A. A. U. cage tourney in the Weber gym here at S p. m. Saturday. Weber gained the finals by drub-' bing Clark's All-Stars of Salt Lake City, 62-46, while Ecker earned the last round by tripping Provo Lions, 52-41. Since the Intermountain championship cham-pionship club Is slated to participate partici-pate in the National A. A. U. tournament tour-nament at Denver, the two rivals Saturday are expected to turn In a fast and high-scoring contest Weber's collegians led through the game in their clash with Clark's. Their high-scoring attack, led by Center Nelson's 19 points and Forward For-ward Child's 16 tallies, completely smothered the Salt Lakers. Weber We-ber led, 10-8, In the opening quarter quar-ter and held a 26-24 edge at the half. But the collegians started clicking In the third period and chalked up a 45-33 lead, as the All-SUn began tiring. Stew Pendleton and Merlin AM-qutst, AM-qutst, with 11 points each, starred for Ecker in the game with Provo Lions. The Salt Lake champs pulled away to a 19-10 lead In the Initial quarter.
