Show DEALERS MOVE TO FORM NEW MILK AGENCY Distributors Discuss Plan to Create Marketing'Board Another move toward establishment establish-ment of an organization to market and atabilize the price of milk was made Saturday when, officials of the former milk marketing agency conferred with representatives of the state attorney general's office. "We have good hopes of working out another plan for marketing milk and regulating production," Stewart Romney, secretary of the Salt Lake Milk Marketing board, said after the meeting. Mr. Romney and D. Howe Moffat, Mof-fat, attorney for the organization, conferred with S. D. Huffaker, assistant as-sistant attorney general, who recently re-cently wrote an opinion holding a voluntary milk marketing agency would be unlawful. The. supreme court ruled adversely ad-versely on the former milk marketing market-ing agency. Mr. Romney then asked David F. Smith, state commissioner of agriculture. If a voluntary organization or-ganization to pool milk and regulate regu-late prices could be established. Mr. Smith referred the query to the attorney general's office and Mr. Huffaker held such an organization organi-zation would be unlawful. |
