Show FINNS SMASH TANKBRIGADE HELSINKI, March 2 (UP) Finnish Fin-nish troops northeast of Lake Ladoga La-doga have annihilated the Thirty-fourth Thirty-fourth Moscow tank brigade, killing kill-ing 2050 Russians, an official communique com-munique announced tonight. The Finns admitted that they had made slight withdrawals In front of Vllpurl. but they ssld that main Russian attacks there had been repulsed. There were local attacks yesterday between the bay of Vllpurl and Vuoksl, which were repulsed "with heavy losses" for the Russians at Aeyraepaeae and Nuoraa. Nuoraa is five miles south of Vllpurl. Slight Finnish withdrawals occurred near Sulnlo, Pepojokl and In the district near th Heinjokl railway station. The tank brigade had advanced from Its base by way of Uomaa to the support ot the Eighteenth division, di-vision, recently destroyed by the Finns, but IU main forces were surrounded, the communique said.
