Show Conflicting Testimony Brings Acquittal Conflicting testimony as to who was driving the automobile at the time of a fatal crash had resulted Saturday in acquittal of Thome Coggle, 31, of 1448 Browning avenue ave-nue on an involuntary manslaughter manslaugh-ter charge. The Thlr district court jury In the courtroom of Judge Peter C Evans required less than an hour to reach a verdict of not guilty. . Coggle was charged In connection connec-tion with the death of Dallas F. Brown Jr. in an accident on the Bingham highway last October 18. Miss Alice Seeiey was also killed In the crash, which occurred when the automobile left the highway at 85 miles an hour. Coggle testified that Richard Bergan, who was Injured In the accident, was driving the car. Miss Jennie Madsen testified that when the party left her at Bingham that night Bergaa was driving. But Mr. Bergan and another passenger pas-senger in the machine, Miss Beth Burbidge, testified that Coggle was driving. |
