A J THIS TOOELE COUPLE MARRIED 50 YEARS WEDNESDAY 'Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Shields, long-time residents a Utah Residents Observe Golden Wedding TOOELE Golden wedding anniversary was being observed Wednesday by Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Shields of Tooele. Theye were marrlen January 15, 1R91, at Tooele, and are the parents of seven children. Open house was to be held at their home. 132 South First West street, from 3 to 9 p. m. Mr. and Mrs. Shields have lived In Tooele practically all their lives. They come of pioneer parentage. par-entage. Four living children are Mrs. John R. Droubay of. Erda, Mrs. Don T. Droubay of Salt Lake City and S. Melvin Shields and Kenneth. Shields, both of Tooele. There are 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Shields Ls a daughter of Samuel F. and Ann White Lee and was born in Tooele September Z 1RR9. Many years nf her life has been spent In L. I). S. auxiliary church service. She was counselor to Miss Maggie Hrrron in the Young Women's M. I. A.: served in the presidency of the Relief so-clly; so-clly; is a member of the county company of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers; member of the ward choir and ward teacher In the Relief Re-lief society of the U D. S. church. |
