O'Mahoney, speaking to a committee com-mittee called to consider final reports and recommendations, traced the present world crisis to the failure of the democracies to provide adequate opportunity and employment for all. "Wa of America are In this great crisis now compelled to appropriate ap-propriate billions, to abandon our rdlnary civilian pursuits, to invite in-vite a huge burden of taxation solely because the democracies have not in the past had the wit to use the facilities at our command com-mand in such a way as to provide economic stability and social justice jus-tice for all the people," O'Maho-rev O'Maho-rev said.
