Show OFFICIALS WAIT STATEMEETING Vanguard of 300 county officials offi-cials fiom the 29 count Irs of the stale were arilvlng here Wednesday Wednes-day for the eighteenth annual convention con-vention of the Utah State Association Associa-tion of County Officials Thursday and Friday at the New house hotel. Final details of . the conference will be arranged at a meeting of association officers and depart- ment heads Wednesday at 6 p. m. at the Newhouse. Registration for the convention will begin Thursday at 8:30 a. m., with the initial session getting under un-der way at 10 a. m. Addresses of welcome will be delivered by City Commissioner John B. Mathe-son Mathe-son and J. B. Mulllns, chairman of the Salt Lake county commission. commis-sion. Governor Herbert B. Maw Is scheduled to extend greetings to the visiting officials. Response will lie made by C. A. (Jrant, American Foik, association president. presi-dent. Major II. Arnold Rich, acting director di-rector of the selective service in Utah, will speak at the morning session on details of the conscription conscrip-tion program. |
