Show Eleven S. L. Army Planes Roar Over U. S. to Inauguration Eleven planes of the Salt Lake air base roared toward El Paso. Texas. Wednesday afternoon on the first leg of a crosscountry cross-country fright to be climaxed Monday with participation in mass air maneuvers during Tresident Roosevelt's third term inauguration. All eleven are fnur-motored Boeing Boe-ing "frying forlreasea," scheduled to atop first at El Paso, make a second sto'p between there and Langley field, V'a., and then go on to Washington, D. C, for the inaugural inau-gural ceremonies. The planes, with full crew, took off from Salt Lake municipal airport at t:30 a. m. Wednesday. Lieutenant Colonel Earl H. De-Ford, De-Ford, group executive officer, Is commanding the flight, termed officially of-ficially "an extended navigation training flight." with date of return re-turn not announced. |
