Easlev ia tha 1949 women's ml.Lm iSchauer defeated Mrs. AI Clare, one up. on the 20th hole for con. solstion honors In the second flight I of competition. amateur golf champion by virtue of her sensational two-up victory over Mra. Frank Currie. It took a tremendous rally on the part of the new champion to win the title over the Ogden Country club course. Mrs. Currie took a one-up lead at the end of the first nine. Then Mrs. Easley msde up the deficit and gained a bole to go one up at the end of 1& On the second nine of the afternoon aft-ernoon round Mrs. Currie apurted to win the first flvt holes, four of them with pars, to take over a commanding two-up margin. But Mrs. Easley fought back to take the 15th with a par and the 16th with a birdie two. She parred :he 17th and 18th with fours to Mra Curries fives to win a two-up margin over Mra.
