Joseph W. Dudler, superintendent superintend-ent of the state highway patrol, pointing out that 80 of all highway high-way traffic accidents ars caused by excessive speeding, called on motorists to drive carefully, within authorised speeds, remembering the slogan, "Lose a Minute, Save a Ufa." Lt. F. Clark Sanford, ehtef of the Bait Lake City traffic bureau, warned against driving wbsn overtired, over-tired, or after drinking. Officials of the Utah Safety council estimated that traffic on state roads would be the heaviest In history over the July 4 week end. Carl T. Bailey, executive secretary secre-tary of the -rounell, aoted that more then 100. 000 vehicles are registered In the stste, with a potential 10 -ars tc every mile. |
