Show Beach Official Dies af Work Edward Nathaniel Slaughter. 59. 1665 Browning ave., general superintendent su-perintendent Salt Lake. Garfield and Western Railroad and Saltalr Beach Co., died Friday at 8 p.m. of a heart attack while working at Saltalr beach. Mr. Slaughter had served ss an official of the railroad and beach company about 25 years,- Hs was born Jan. 11, 1890, In Salt Laks City, a son of Edward Huey and Mary Elizabeth Smith Slaughter, and had resided here all his life. He married L Fran res Blanchs Greenwell Aug. 2L 1911, In Salt Lake City. Mr. Slaughter was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an aider in Colonial Hills ward. Besides his widow, he Is survived sur-vived by the following sons and daughters: Edward Greenwell Slaughter, Ward Elmer Slaughter, Mrs. Audrey S. Davis snd Jerry Josephine Slaughter, all of Salt Lake City; Lt Col. Donald Francis Slaughter. Camp Hood, Tex.; a brother and two sisters, Msthew Moore Slaughter and Mrs. Martha 8. Wagataff. Portland. Ore.; Mra. Laura 8. Maxwell, Ogden; also six grandchildren. |
