Home Owner A Sslt Laker, exasperated by the hail of bullets which fall on his residence each summer, sum-mer, Friday afternoon called upon the police for help. L. E. Anderson, 2300 W. 8th South, reported re-ported that young boys shooting JZ2 caliber rifles from the banks of a canal which runs bout 150 feet In front of the Anderson horns are endangering the lives of his wife and three children. The mail box at the Anderson home has "30 or 40 bullet holes" In It, Mr. Anderson reported. re-ported. He said the series of shootings has been going on al spring. Police officers who investigated the call Friday afternoon secured promises from the juveniles who were firing along the canal that they Would cease the practice. They were sent home to their parents. Mr. Anderson said ricochets from the firing fir-ing by the "playful youths" is making life uncomfortable. un-comfortable. The favorite firing point, he aaid, is a bridge which crosses the water about one block from the Anderson home.
