Show Reservoirs Filled , WaterSupply Ample, Officials Declare August are the critical months for water consumption, after which consumption drops off at the start of seasonal precipitation. Despite a tremendous Increase In water consumption In Salt Lake City this year, water department officials -Saturday expressed confidence con-fidence that the supply will be ample during the summer' months. During June, average water consumption con-sumption was 4,500,000 gallons , mors per day than in June of last year, according to David A. Affleck, Af-fleck, water commissioner. The rise was attributed to the low precipitation during the month, when only .IT Inch of rainfall rain-fall was recorded, compared with 1.47 during June of 1848, he said. At present, stream flows are holding up well, and reservoirs are filled to capacity, Mr. Affleck aaid. "We won't have to draw on storage stor-age supplies until a drop occurs m stream runoff," he added.
