Show Probe Ordered in Ogden Liquor Row An investigation of an asserted as-sault as-sault by Jack Harbertson, Weber county deputy sheriff, upon John Ward of Ogden, a prospective witness wit-ness in the probe of liquor conditions being carried on in Ogden by federal agents, was ordered Tuesday by George H. Lunt assistant United States district sttorney in Sslt Lake. Harbertson, it was reported to Mr. Lunt struck Wsrd several times during dur-ing sn sltercstion nesr the Ogden police po-lice ststion Tuesdsy after Ward purportedly pur-portedly had made a remark about the sheriff's office which aroused the deputy. Wsrd, it was learned, has been furnishing fur-nishing Informstion to department of justice agents investigsting liquor conditions In Ogden and tha release of Mrs. Minnie Colletti, liquor suspect sus-pect Mrs. Colletti, a federal prisoner, pris-oner, assertedly was freed upon request re-quest of Sheriff Amasa M. Hammon and Captain L. W. Pack of the Ogden polka department |
