Show Advertising Speeds Success, Manager Says That advertising I an effective aid in the selling and merchandising of meet and other food products wss emphasised Wednesdsy by W. M. Neilsen, genersl msnsger of the Cudahy Packing company plant at North Salt Lrke. who sddressed members of the Sslt Lake Advertising Advertis-ing club. Mr. Neilsen was host to members of the club at a luncheon at the plant where some of the prize beef from the Ogden livestock show wss served. The guests were given free transportation to the plsnt through the courtesy of Lawrence Mariger, manager o fthe Salt Lake Transportation Transpor-tation company. In his talk, Mr. Neilsen pointed out that advertising ia a moat comprehensive comprehen-sive subject and outlined in detail the success enjoyed through newspaper news-paper advertising by the company he representa. He explained that the first requirement is a good product and declared that a product which could not sell without advertising could not sell with sdvertising. Advertising, Ad-vertising, he cxplsined, csn hasten the success of a good article. The next phase in a successful advertising ad-vertising campsign is the method of appeal to the trade and the public. In Mr. Neilsen's opinion.
