Nordburg and Hed-man, Hed-man, two of the committeemen, again called on President Lund.' who Informed them that 1600 of the 1900 petitioners had removed their names from, the petition pe-tition and other counties were yet to be heard from. . President Lund told T the committee that Editor Otto Rydman'a case was absolutely ab-solutely closed, and that gentleman may consider himself absolutely and permanently perma-nently ousted from the Mormon church. The committee then presented President Presi-dent Lund an address, which . recited that the petition before mentioned had been In the bands of the presidency for two months and the confidence of the people . was beginning , to weaken. It recalls Editor Rydman'a expulsion, stating stat-ing that he was thrown out by- conspiracy. con-spiracy. When asked Vo investigate his case, the first presidency Is accused of having treated the . petitioners like children in bondage, sending, special missionaries to catechise the people and insult their intelligence. The address reiterates the prayer of the original petition, for an investigation investiga-tion of Rydman's case and a trial before the hlsrhest church tribunal. The outcome of the case Is looked forward for-ward to with as great Interest in non-Mormon non-Mormon circles as in the circles of the church. y . . . |
