The District Judges should order a thorough investigation in-vestigation of the disappearance and return of the missing records in the King and Lynch murder case. In January these Important files were abstracted ab-stracted from the courtroom and until yesterday no trace of them could be found. The manner in which the records were returned indicates that the person who had possession of them understood that he was involved in a questionable transaction. The files were discovered behind a box in a corner of Judge Stewart V courtroom where they had been thrown by the person who returned them. Such a practice as this should not be permitted by the courts. The court records are in many instances- of incalculable value and especially is this true in the King and Lynch case where the lives of two men are at stake. No stone should be left unturned in an effort to run down the person who is responsible for the disappearance disap-pearance of these records. Let the light be turned on this case so that the public may know who has held these files since January and why they were held and returned so mysteriously. ' |
