Bait Lake's reception of . President Theodore Roosevelt on the occasion of his visit to this city May 29th will surpass sur-pass anything of the kind that has been arranged by any other city of the West. Gov. Heber M. Wells, Senators Thomas Kearns and Reed Smoot, Mayor May-or Ezra Thompson and District Attorney Attor-ney Dennis C. Eichnor, met at Mayor Thompson's office this morning and laid a foundation for the reception plans that is ample assurance that the reception recep-tion will be complete in every detail. They appointed as. chairman of the various va-rious committees, which will number , " seven in all, a number of prominent men of this city, each one of whom is . known to be capable of successfully directing di-recting the committee under him and seeing that the work Is well done. Decorations Charles (Sottrell. Jr.. Seating at Tabernacle George- B. ' -Margetts. Entertainment Nephi W. Claytonw The Complete Committees. TCiese chairmen have been requested to meet with Gov. , Wells, Senators Kearns and Smoot and Mayor Thompson Thomp-son tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock at Mayor Thompson's office, S4 East Second Sec-ond South street, for the purpose of appointing ap-pointing committees and arranging all the details for the reception.- At this morning's meeting the reservation reser-vation of seats at the Tabernacle was discussed and the following plan adopt- ed for seating those for whom seats will be reserved: -'-. The State officers will be seated nearest near-est to the President's party. Then will come the city, county. Federal and Fort Douglas officers, the Legislature, pioneers, pio-neers, - Mormon , battalion. Indian war veterans and the O. A. R, While the entire plan for the reception recep-tion and entertainment of President Roosevelt was discussed in an informal way no definite plans were adopted.
