Show LEAVES TO ATTEND -THE LEAGUE MEETING H. O. Shepard. secretary of the Salt Lake Ball club, left for Butte to attend the league meeting Wednesday night. Mr. Shepard said before his departure that the baseball horizon Was clearing up and that prospects for a well-organized league were better than at any time for the last few months. Mr. Shepard will be followed Thursday by Representative Klvett of the Boise club. President Lucas has been declaring that the league was dead for so long and In such an earnest manner that it is hoped that he will at least convince the league magnates that he is a dead one and that the best place for him Is a place as president of the Alaska league. |
