Show UNIVERSITY ATHLETES TO MEET OTHER TRACK TEAMS - A meeting of the track men of the University of Utah called by Captain Fred Bennion, was held . at the University Uni-versity Wednesday and track matters foo the coming- season were discussed. Captain Bennion announced that Pro-vo Pro-vo had accepted the challenge for the cross-country race and that the representatives rep-resentatives of the two schools would meet Saturday to fix upon the data and conditions to govern the race. He urged all men who think they have any ability at all In track athletic to come out and try for the team. Coach Maddock announced the programme pro-gramme arranged for the track team this season. It will Include meets with . 1 the Agricultural college of Montana,, and the University of Montana A Colorado Col-orado trip will also be taken. So far' a meet has been arranged with Colo-: rado college and -offers have been made : by the University of Colorado, the Den- ver university and the University of ; Wyoming-. Not all of these can be accepted- and ar -choice has not yet been made. It the meet is held at the Lewis and Clark exposition the Utah team will also attend that event. The Agricultural college at Logan has refused the cross-country challenge but will be represented with the U. of U., the L. D. S U. and Provo In the State meet, pual games will also be ai ranged between the University and one of the other teams of the State. Coach Maddock also announced that winners of first places In dual games and winners of n. tmlnt In the State meet would receive their "ITs." It is his scheme to arrange the team in squads, each squad ender the direction direc-tion of the man in It who is doing the best work. It Is thought that this will foster competition and hard work.
