Two men believed be-lieved to be members of a gang of train robbers who," for months past, have been looting freight cars of the Hudson River railroad, were arrested yesterday, driving in a wagon away from the stretch of track running through the unfrequented Fort Washington Heights region. In the wagon were found many cases of silk gloves valued at several thousand dollars. Detectives who have been watching the men say the robberies are the work of discharged employees of the railroad rail-road who break into the cars and throw their plunder out on the tracks to be picked up by . confederates and carried away in boats or wagons. |
