Show WEATHER CONTRASTS INCONVENIENCE TRAINMEN ON THE SHORT LINE. 'Short Line trains were put to great Inconvenience yesterday on account of the cold weather, though no serious trouble was encountered. The trains encounter great weather contrasts, according to the reports. At Granger and Kemmerer, the mercury showed 35 degrees below zero, while at Nampa, Focatello and Boise it was but 5 below. . v At Juab it marked! 28 degrees below, and at Dixie it was 20 degrees warmer. The weather was not exceptionally cold in Montana, as it was but 8 degrees below be-low at Silver Bow and 15 below at Lima. Trainmen are having difficulty in keeping up sufficient steam to keep the cars warm. |
