Show City Briefs. Licenses were issued yesterday permitting per-mitting the marriage of Frank Ray Lloyd, 20, and Miss Sarah Ellen Lever, 18, and of William Lowe, 21, and Miss Marie Saunders. Saun-ders. 19, all the parties being residents of Ogden. Councilmen Decker, McEwan and Carter Car-ter of Provo were In Ogden yesterday investigating in-vestigating municipal affairs of this city. The collision yesterday between a delivery de-livery wagon of the Troy steam laundry and a street car, at the corner of Washington Wash-ington avenue and Twenty-fifth street, resulted re-sulted in the laundry wagon being completely com-pletely demolished. Mrs. Elizabeth Weller Pilcher, wife of Edward Pilcher, an. employee of the Southern Pacific, died yesterday afternoon after-noon at the residence. 266 Twenty-first street, of pleurisy, after an illness of a month. Mrs. Pilcher was born at -Sussex. England, in 1S58. She leaves a husband and three children. Alex. Lentham of the Brigham' City Light and Power company has returned from Brigham City, where he has been arranging for the introduction of a lighting light-ing plant in Box Elder county. The company com-pany owns about twenty feet of water in Brigham canyon, about three miles oast of the city, where a 200-hore-power plant it to be put In. The plant will be used for lighting and power purposes. |
