Show WILL KEEP WOMEN OUT OF SALOONS The Council met in an adjourned meeting last night. The ordinance regarding re-garding women being in saloons was amended so as to make the bartender a party to the crime. The hack ordinance ordi-nance was so amended that hac ks cannot can-not stand within ten feet of a curb. The removal of P. H. Fitzmaurice from the police force, for the good of the service, which was done by Chief of Police Paul, and the appointment of Nick Gulbranson to fill the vacancy was approved.- A resolution recommending recom-mending substantial recognition of the bravery of Patrolman Heath was adopted. The recommendation of Chief Paul that the license of the Green River bar be revoked for selling liquor on Sunday was favorably receiveM'and the owners of the bar will be asked to explain the matter next Monday. George Lawler's plea for the return of $70 on his license which was taken away from him was not granted. |
