From all indica-; tions this sixth farewell tour will be the most successful of all Patti'a Yisits from a financial standpoint, stand-point, although at three concerts which she gave in Boston in 1882 the receipts for four nights aggregated aggre-gated $ 20,893. And if reports from England are to be believed, Patti will return to ns with all the richness rich-ness and magnetism of that splendid voice which years ago charmed so many thousands. Sir Morrell McKenzie, the famous throat specialist,, is authority for this. He saya that Patti has not only the most wonderful throat he ever saw, but the only one the vocal cords of which are in absolutely perfect condition condi-tion after years of use. We have had Jenny Lind, Emma Abbott, Annie Louise Oary, Albani, Clara Louise Kellogg, Minnie Hank, and now have Nordi-ca, Nordi-ca, Eame and Melba as the greatest of our concert singers, but there has been and is now only one Patti, Pat-ti, and she is the one who will tell us farewell for the sixth time this year. . " - - Adelina Tatti has sung her thirty-fifth farewell concert, and has made her fifth farewell visit to this country,- Perhaps it is because she wishes her farewell fare-well trips to America to number an even half-dozen that iladanie Patti has. decided to make another tour ofihe United States. As usual, this willbe ''positively Madame Tatti's farewell" visit to the land of dollars and liberty. The queen of song has a,young, hu8band, Baron Cedarstrom, and it is said thafhelias prevailed on his gifted wife to make the toun- -There is a matter of f 300,000 in it for the Ce-darstroms. Ce-darstroms. Madame Patti has .agreed to sing at fifty concerts in this country. For this she will receive, re-ceive, Xro'm Robert Grau at least 300,000, or $5000 for each-concert. Mr. Grau, who has been negotiating negotiat-ing with, the singer for some time, has received a cablegram saying she had received a contract for-wardedif for-wardedif o her and agreed to all its provisions. The tour wilt begin on November 4th, with four concerts - in 'New '.York. There will be four concerts also in iifayanaj;. the City of Mexico and San Francisco. Kach:.of the other leading cities in the Western hemisphere will be limited to two concerts, and it is probable that Salt Lake City will be honored by a visit from the great singer. Already, it is said, nine concerts have been sold for from f 10,000 to $11,000, : Mmft Patti is guaranteed a minimum of $5000 for each concert and SO per cent of the net receipts re-ceipts over $7500.
