Show BIRTHS AND DEATHS CONTINUE UNIFORM The uniformity of the birth and death rate in Salt Lake City, so marked during the past month, continued without ma terlal , change through the week ending today. The births numbered 31 for the week. 19 mates and 12 females, which shows a decrease of five as compared with the week before. The mortality for the week remains the same, with the number' of each reversed, as compared with the preceding week., there being 10 male and and 9 female deaths. At the close of last report there were 10 cases of scarlet fever In quarantine; during the week S new cases developed snd 6 having been discharged, left 8 cases-In cases-In the city at the close of this report. Seven cases of diphtheria were reported during the week, one case-died and 9 recovered, leaving S cases In detention, as against '11 for the preceding week. But three - cases of smallpox were reported during the week and 5 discharged, leaving leav-ing SI cases In quarantine, as compared with S3 for the previous week. Two cases of measles and one case of chick en pox were also reported. |
