My thanks are due: To The Telegram,' for so faithfully and honorably carrying the . whole responsibility re-sponsibility of completing the closing up of the papers and contract which assures me the full ownership of a little home with a-clear title. Al honor to The Telegram for the. noble work it has done,- starting and. carrying to a successful suc-cessful conclusion the movement which saved my home. As the Herald said editorially, The Telegram does things while others are thinking about doing them. Long life to The Telegram! To Mr. A. J. Weber for his kindly services In looking after the details of I seeing every paper was correct (and all the more my thanks are due to Mr. Weber, knowing as I do that he did the work out of the kindness of his ig heart, and not for glory or for advertising adver-tising of his. name.) I honor him for the service, as coming1 from a friend. To Mrs. W. G. Filer, who gave a tea party which netted $30. which she so kindly sent, with the wish that It might add to my comfort. The same to Mrs. W. B. Sprague, who sent $10, as coming com-ing from a little sewing band of women of her acquaintance. " To Mr. WilllanvLochrldge and others In Milford. who sent a fine box of the comforts of life for the table. In closing, t would add that in the kindness of the Elks' lodge to me, they have honored their own mothers, moth-ers, wives and sisters, and I give there honor as a band of noble, kindly-hearted men. . . Once and- for all I would say: My heart -and my. home is open to every one who reads these lines, and with the hope that my life may-be a. blessing to those . who may come after, me, and I will reap what I have sown, with as much gratitude as I now sow for the harvest of Eternity.
