Copper was lower today, on advices from New York, and the settling basis for producers was declared by the ore buyers to be $21.69 per hundred pounds, one point less than during the last week. Silver was quoted at 7 1 4 c per ounce, and lead at $3.75 per hundred pounds. Settlements yesterday for ores marketed mar-keted in Salt Lake, according to Mc-Cornick Mc-Cornick & Co. 's report, aggregated $46,000; bullion, $144,000; total, $190,-000. $190,-000. Ores released today by the Pioneer Sampling company includ d 2 cars from Alta, 4 from Stockton, 1 from Fish Springs, 2 from Nevada, and 2 from Alta. The releases from the Taylor & Brun-ton Brun-ton company's sampler included 15 cars from Tintic, 5 from Nevada, and 3 from Bingham. |
