Eleanor Elea-nor Lois Fields. 7 years old, can play on any instrument, string, wind or reed, and can tell in an instant whether it is good, bad or indifferent. Eleanor is the daughter of Mrs. Bosa S. and the late James P. Fields, and re-sides re-sides with her mother hm,. She is the youngest organist in the United States, being assistant at the Zion Lutheran Sunday-school of 8pring City. The little lit-tle . musician began to play the piano when years old, and was the soloist at a musicale in Royersford.. Since that time she hs played in all parts of the United Slates, and is a great favorite in New York, having appeared ap-peared for three consecutive seasons at concerts. Her repertoire for the piano includes more than 200 classical selections. selec-tions. At the age of 4 the gir! pHyed a cornet cor-net at the Sunday-school. She has received re-ceived no instruction, but worked ont the manner of playing the instrument for herself. Eleanor has ' also wcived a gold nedal two years ago for acrobatic feats. She has been trained by Prof. Hughes of Ursinus college, and has taken part in the physical culture exhibitions of that institution. Her mother, who is r!l known as a pianist, will educate th child in this country until she is 13, when she will take her abroad to studv under the best masters in Europe. |
