Show ZULUS BEATEN OFF WITH HEAVY LOSS DURBAN, Natal. May 80. The rebel Zulus again attacked CoL Lauchers column col-umn yesterday. They fiercely assaulted the British camp, fought obstinately for several hours and finally were beaten off with heavy loas by the steady fire of the British troops. The British had three men killed and twelve wounded. In an Important encircling operation nf the command of Col. MacKensle forty to f.fty of Chief Banbaata's followers were killed and big herds of cattle and many women and children fell Into the hands of the British. |
