Show CONFESSES r TO MURDER !- - . Cblcaso Cripple Admits Hat He Shet . Wife in a Fit of Jealousy. CHICAGO, Sept- 28. Jacob Hart, who is without legs, dragged himself into the court of Judge Barnes yesterday yester-day and whispered to Assistant State's Attorney Barbour that he was anxious to enter a plea of guilty to a charge of murder. Mr. Barbour explained to Hart the seriousness of such a plea and that the court had the power to lpfllct severe punishment on him. The crippled crip-pled defendant, however, said be understood un-derstood his position and the plea was i ' allowed to be entered. Sentence will f be imposed in his case on Friday. 1 Hart has confessed that he shot and killed his wife Marie. June 15. 1905. He accused her of being too friendly with other men and when she refused to explain ex-plain where she bad been the night previous he drew a revolver and shot her. He also shot himself in an attempt at-tempt to commit suicide, but he recov- ered. i |
