The news comes from Cintic that the Uncle Sam Consolidated has at last struck the May Day ore body In Uncle Sam ground. It is Impossible to substantiate thij news, as John Dern, president and manager of the Uncle Sam, Is at Stockton Stock-ton Inspecting the Honerine, but the news Is so positive and so widely f-pread that it Is hardly possible to doubt Its authenticity. . Just what values ihe ore body shows in Uncle Sam ground Is not known, nor Is the ext-int of -the ore body determined, deter-mined, but those who followed the run of the ore In the May Day will know that the grade Is bound to be good, with the probability that most of it is ship-ring ship-ring ore. The Uncle Sam has been after this ore body ever since the strike was made In the May .Day. and was practically certain of finding it. as it was afforded af-forded every aid possible by the May Day management. The strike means that without doubt the dividends will be resumed by the Ur.cle Sam in the n"ar future end the value of the mire will be increased to a great extent. WORK STOPPED. Work 'n the main shaft on the Frisco Contact prot-erty, which adjoins the Horn Silver :t Frisco, has been stopped until the hoist Is In commission. All |
