Show MINORITY REPORT ON THE BANKRUPTCY BILL IS ADOPTED BY HOUSE. The majority of the Banks and Banking Bank-ing committee had their feelings hurt Tuesday when the House adopted J. A. Anderson's minority report on H. B. No. 3, providing for the examination of all private banks by the State Bank Examiner. When the majority and mjnor.ity reports re-ports were read J. A. Anderson moved that the report of the minority recommending recom-mending that the bill pass be adopted instead of the majority report, recommending recom-mending that it not pass. Anderson announced that he would like to hear from those opposed to the minority report, re-port, and that he would close the debate, de-bate, as the minority report was his. There was a short silence and then Speaker Hull rose to his feet, and to the surprise of many called for the vote on the substitution of the minority report, re-port, without giving Anderson a chance to be heard. The House voted to substitute sub-stitute the minority's favorable report, and the Speaker announced the substitution. substi-tution. The action of the House was a decided decid-ed surprise to the committee, several of whom afterward said that the House should have "adopted- the majority report re-port as a matter of courtesy to the majority. ma-jority.
